Water Filtration & Softener Installation in Middle Tennessee
Water filtration is one of the most popular services Simply Plumbing offers. We install whole-house filtration systems, carbon filters, and water softeners, and we service them after they’re in.
Simply Plumbing is a SpringWell installer and is listed on SpringWell’s site as an installer in this area. We install and service SpringWell systems regularly and know how they need to be plumbed in to work the way they should.
What a Filtration System or Softener Can Help With
Homeowners usually call about one or more of these:
- Chlorine taste or smell in drinking water
- Sediment or grit in the water
- Hard water scale on faucets, showerheads, and glass doors
- Spots on dishes and glasses
- Mineral buildup in water heaters and fixtures
Whole-House Filters, Carbon Filters & Softeners
Whole-house filtration treats every drop of water coming into the home, so the water at your kitchen sink, showers, and laundry is all filtered. Carbon filtration is commonly used to reduce chlorine taste and odor. A water softener deals with hardness minerals that leave scale behind.
Many systems combine these. A softener on its own won’t fix taste or odor, and a carbon filter on its own won’t stop scale, so it helps to know which problem you’re actually solving. We’ll listen to what you’re dealing with, explain what each option does and doesn’t do, and recommend what fits your home. If a simpler setup will solve your problem, that’s what we’ll tell you.

Protecting Your Water Heater and Fixtures
Scale doesn’t just look bad on a faucet. It builds up inside water heaters and fixtures too. That’s why many homeowners add a softener or filter when they install a tankless water heater, and why we often bring it up when we’re replacing a tank water heater. It’s also worth a look during a repipe, when the main line is already being worked on.
Already have a system that isn’t working right? We service filtration systems and softeners too, including SpringWell units.
Keeping Your System Working
Every water treatment system needs some upkeep. Filter cartridges and filter media wear out and have to be replaced on a schedule that depends on the system and how much water your household uses. Softeners need salt added and should be checked now and then to make sure they’re regenerating the way they should.
When we install a system, we walk you through exactly what it needs and how often, so you’re not left guessing. If a system stops doing its job, whether it’s low pressure through the filter, water that tastes off again, or scale coming back, call and we’ll come take a look with no service fee to come out.
